Leaping Beyond Borders: My Return to Career Coaching — This Time, Global!
Last October 17, 2025, I took another courageous leap — volunteering once again as a Career Coach, this time with Global Mentorship Initiative (GMI) for international students.
It’s been almost a year since I last coached college and master’s students here in the Philippines, and stepping into a global stage felt both exciting and humbling. This wasn’t just another session — it was a new milestone.
Honestly, I hesitated at first. I told myself I’d only do career coaching within academic partnerships — both local and international. But maybe this is the right time to go beyond that. A better, braver version of me is ready to say yes again.
Our first session went incredibly well. My mentee from Kenya impressed me with her fluency and confidence — we had such a fun, engaging talk that time flew by! It reminded me that career coaching isn’t just about giving advice; it’s about connecting with people who share the same passion for growth and purpose.
I’m deeply thankful to the students, professionals, and partner organizations who continue to trust me — and to those who send invitations or open doors for me to keep doing this kind of volunteer work, even online.
Sometimes, courage doesn’t roar — it quietly whispers, “Do it again, but this time, better.” 🌎✨
